Strategic thinking and powerful promotion

In our experience, two components are a must in any worthwhile marketing campaign. We note them here to help you understand how we work and why we believe in our approach.

First, a marketing program must fit your organization, be articulated by management and embraced by the sales staff. This approach is the strategic core of our thinking. It's what we mean by, "Working together builds results." It does work.

Second, competitive environments require aggressive action. Sales are at risk and market share is up for grabs—always. Your company must maintain forward momentum or stagnate. What you need is powerful promotion and immediate action. We deliver just that.


PEOPLE

Paul Muller
Paul founded Muller & Smith in 1988. He has more than 20 years experience in public relations and marketing communications, plus substantial experience in printing, publishing, construction and industrial business-to-business communications.

Paul has led strategic market research projects, implemented programs integrating databases with selective qualification and sales follow-up and managed national marketing communications programs. He has both a bachelors and a masters degree from the University of San Francisco. He served California's governor on the Select Committee on Health Care Costs in the early '80s and remains active in USF community affairs.

Gordon Smith
Gordon has more than 15 years experience in creative leadership for web design, publication design, and retail and trade advertising. He has received numerous Maggie awards for his publication work and has served as the creative guiding light of Muller & Smith from the start.

Gordon has a BS in Fine Art from Antioch College. He has served as art director for the Tower Records chain, marketing director in the graphic arts trade, and as a partner in the design firm of Tremain and Smith. Gordon was art director for California Lawyer, Muller & Smith's first account in 1988.
